CROWN Act in 18 States Now

The CROWN (Create a Respectful and Open World for Natural Hair) Act and similarly named laws are spreading across our country to stop discrimination based on someone’s natural hair style and texture. These laws ban hair bias, which has affected millions of black people, particularly women and girls, in the workplace and schools.

This discrimination has had a tremendous economic and educational impact as people lose employment opportunities and income. Students miss school time and extracurricular activities and receive discipline simply because of their natural hairstyle.

Massachusetts was the most recent state to enact a CROWN act. Support inclusivity and protect the rights of people to be themselves. Learn more about The Crown Coalition and ways to help at: https://www.thecrownact.com
